What is Memeo Share?
Memeo Share is a simple way to share all your digital media desktop to desktop. Memeo Share makes sharing personal again.


Is Memeo Share free?
Memeo Share is an application that is free for all users who want to share up to 1GB of photos and videos with their friends and family members.  Users are required to create an account and register in order to use Memeo Share.


Why do I need to create an account to use Memeo Share?
Memeo Share allows users to create private Sharing Circles and invite people by E-mail address. These private Sharing Circles will only appear in Memeo Share if you have logged in and if your E-mail address is linked to your account.


How is Memeo Share different?
Memeo Share is different because:

• You can send high-quality photos and videos directly to your friends without email and without uploading and downloading from websites.
• High-resolution media is delivered directly to your friends, allowing them to make photo-quality prints, or automatically update screensavers or even digital picture frames.
• It’s also easy to share with large groups of friends and family at one time. You can even set up multiple Sharing Circles.
• Once you set up a Sharing Circle, you can simply drag and drop or add new files and they will automatically be delivered to your friends.

Does Memeo Share support other file types beyond photos and videos?
Not at this time. In the future, we will enhance Memeo Share to add new support for additional file types.


What are the supported file types for Share?
Memeo Share supports the following supported file types:

• Photo files: *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.bmp, *.gif, *.png, *.raw, *.tif, *.tiff
• Video files: *.wmv, *.mov, *.mpg, *.mpeg, *.avi, *.m4v

How do I Uninstall Share?
To uninstall Share, simply go to your Control Panel via your Start Menu and click on Programs and Features (Add/Remove Programs if using an older version of Windows). Locate and click on Memeo Share, then click uninstall.

What are the different Sharing Circle types?
Sharing Circles can be public or private. Public Sharing Circles can be joined by anyone and are viewable by anyone online. Private Sharing Circles require an invitation to view and/or share.


How do I know if my Sharing Circle is public or private?
When creating your sharing circle, Memeo Share will ask you “Who can see content in this Sharing Circle?”  Check “Anyone” for public and “Anyone invited to your Sharing Circle” if you would like it to be private.  If you’ve already created a Sharing Circle and want to confirm if it is public or private, go to “Modify Settings” on the left navigation within Memeo Share on your desktop.


I want to see my photos and videos online. What is the Memeo Share Web Gallery server address?
The server address is:  http://share.memeo.com.


How do I create a Memeo Share user ID account?
After Memeo Share is installed, you will be asked to register. If you have already registered, you can simply use your existing username and password.


How do I change my Memeo Share user ID password?
To change your password, login to your account online at http://share.memeo.com/login and click on “settings’. You can change your password here.


What can I do if I forget my Memeo Share password?  Is there a recover and/or reset function?
If you forget your password you can reset it at http://share.memeo.com/forgot_password


Once I join a public community Sharing Circle, how do I request an invitation so that I can add photos to that sharing circle?
You can request a Share Invitation by contacting the owner of the Sharing Circle.  The owner will send an invitation to you via E-mail.


Where are items stored on my computer?
By default, Memeo Share uses a folder named “Memeo Share” in your Documents Folder.  In the “Memeo Share” folder, your photos and videos are stored in the directory/file structure associated with the Memeo Share user ID and the Sharing Circle name.


Can I log in to the Memeo Share Web Gallery with my username or email address?
Yes. You can log in with your username or any E-mail address that you link to your account. To link alternate E-mail addresses, log in with your username or your primary E-mail address and click “Settings”. Under “E-mail addresses” click “Add new E-mail address”.


Other users have pictures associated with their user ID.  How do I change my icon/avatar for my user ID?
Log in to the Memeo Share Web Gallery and click on “Settings”. Scroll to the bottom and you will see “Change Profile Picture”.


Can I upload photos and videos from Memeo Share onto Facebook?
Yes. When you create a Sharing Circle you will see an option called “Facebook” on the main screen. This option will allow you to post your Sharing Circle photos (NOT videos) to your Facebook account. Note that Facebook limits its albums to 60 photos. You will need to log into your Facebook account to confirm this action.


I got invited to a Sharing Circle from a different E-mail address, how do I associate this invitation with my Memeo account?
To link alternate E-mail addresses, log in with your username or your primary E-mail address and click “Settings”. Under “E-mail addresses” click “Add new E-mail address”. If you already have two or more accounts established with different email addresses you need to contact Support at cs@memeo.com for help in combining your accounts.


How do I download photos from the website (Memeo Share Web Gallery)?
You can’t download photos directly from the Memeo Share Web Gallery.  You will have to install Memeo Share on your computer to get your high resolution photos and videos delivered your computer.


How do I create a Sharing Circle?
Memeo Share must be installed on your computer.  On the main Memeo Share window, click on “Create New Sharing Circle” and follow the on-screen instructions.


How do I add photos to a Sharing Circle?
On the main screen of Memeo Share, you can drag and drop your selected photos to a specific Sharing Circle. If you are the creator of the Sharing Circle, you can simply add photos and videos to the directory that you chose to share when you created it.


Can I invite more people to my Sharing Circle?
If you are the creator of the Sharing Circle, you can invite more people to your Sharing Circle.


How do I remove/delete photos?
The creator of the Sharing Circle can delete any photos within their circle.  If you are not the creator, you can only delete photos that belong to you.  To delete a photo, login at http://share.memeo.com/.  Click on an individual photo that belongs to you and on the left side panel, there will be an option to delete a photo.


What kind of mobile support do I have with Memeo Share?  Can I use it on a Windows Mobile device, Blackberry device, or iPhone?
Users can capture photos on any E-mail enabled mobile device (Windows Mobile, Blackberry, iPhone, etc.)  Memeo will soon deliver an application for the iPhone that will enable users to manage Sharing Circles, and add, tag and view photos on their iPhone.


How do I upload photos directly from my phone/email?
To send a photo to your Sharing Circle, please send email as follows:

To: share@memeo.mobi
Subject: <Sharing Circle name>

If you are sending a photo to someone else’s Sharing Circle, use the format: <username>/<Sharing Circle name> in the subject.

Note: The sender E-mail address must match an E-mail address that has been confirmed in your account.
Attachment: include one or more JPEGs


Can I upload videos directly from my phone/email?
No.  This is a future enhancement for Memeo Share.  Stay tuned.


How is Memeo Share different from email?
Do you remember coming home from your last vacation with hundreds of photos and saving them to your computer? You would probably like to forget what comes next; hours of sitting at your computer emailing two photos at a time to all of your friends and family. And just when you thought you were done, you discovered that half of the emails were returned as “unsendable.” Sound Familiar? Now there is a better way. Memeo Share lets you easily create Sharing Circles with friends and family and then automatically share your photos and videos directly to their computer desktop. Everyone in your Sharing Circle will get high-quality, original-resolution photos and videos that they can print at home, transfer to a media player or store for safekeeping. The possibilities are endless with Memeo Share.


How is this different from photo sharing websites?
With Memeo Share you’ll never have to babysit uploads or downloads again. Memeo Share lets you easily create Sharing Circles with friends and family and then automatically share your photos and videos directly to their computer desktop. They’ll never have to take the time to visit a photo sharing website again. Instead, they’ll get high-quality, original-resolution photos and videos that they can print at home, transfer to a media player or store for safekeeping.


How do I preview Sharing Circles without installing Memeo Share?
You can view public Sharing Circles at http://share.memeo.com/.  For private Sharing Circles, creators must invite their friends or family to view their photos.


How long does uploading and downloading take?
It depends on your connection speed, number of photos/videos, the original size of each photo, and computer’s performance.


Why didn’t my friend receive my share invitation?
Please verify that the users you invite are checking their junk e-mail and that you have entered the proper E-mail address.


Why can’t I see another user’s web gallery? 
If the Sharing Circle is set to private, you are required to login, and you must be invited to the Sharing Circle.  Ask the owner of the Shari ng Circle to invite you.


How can I check how much of my 1 Gig space limit I’ve used?
Within Memeo Share, go to “Help” > “Account Info” > You will see a bar showing the amount of space used on your account. 

How do I cancel my Memeo Share Premium Account?
If you have a Premium account and would like to cancel, please send an email to support@memeo.com including your e-mail address for the Memeo Share account, your order number and/or product key.  Find your order number here: http://store.esellerate.net/support
Please note that uninstalling Memeo Share does not cancel your account.

 * Windows Vista 32-bit, XP Pro & Home
 * Microsoft .NET framework 2.0. This will be installed automatically if it's not installed on your computer.
 * Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Firefox 1.5 or higher with cookies enabled (best viewed with IE 7.0 and  Firefox 2.0)
 * Memeo Share is currently not supported on the Mac OS. We plan to support this in an upcoming release.
